San Saba Pecan, Inc. was established in 1973 in the heart of the pecan belt in central Texas, known as the Pecan Capital of the World. Under new ownership, San Saba Pecan, LP reorganized in 2003. Along with new and state of the art shelling equipment, San Saba Pecan, LP has added more pecan producing locations. We have producing orchards in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma and we will continue increasing our existing orchards - along with adding new ones.
San Saba Pecan, LP is a vertically integrated company that is a prominent supplier of shelled pecan products. Inshell pecans are purchased throughout the pecan belt and processed at our company-owned facility here in San Saba, Texas.
San Saba Pecan, LP has upgraded with state of the art sorting equipment and the new innovative Sheller by-pass.
Pecans are visually inspected as one of the final stages before going in the box as a finished product.

Pecans are one of nature's most delectable treasures, and have been bringing pleasure to man's table for centuries. In 1874, Englishman Edmond E. Risien came to San Saba in search of the perfect pecan and found it after conducting tests for flavor, color, earliness, texture and ease of shelling. He purchased 320 acres of prime land, and began development of some of the most propular pecan varieties, including Western Schley, that are still loved today. His customers included Queen Victoria, Lord Tennyson and Prince Cordova of Spain.
